20 Women-Owned Borough Businesses to Support

March is Women’s History Month and this month, we are celebrating the women in our community who help define and sustain our local economy. With an interesting mix of perspectives, backgrounds, and life experiences, Stonington Borough is proud to be the home of artists, makers, entrepreneurs, experts, dreamers, and tastemakers.

Many of our businesses are run by moms, juggling work and family on a daily basis. Many are run by artists, tastemakers, and entrepreneurs whose creativity and shop offerings touch our homes and daily lives. There are experts in antiques, real estate, and the culinary arts — with the unique knack of knowing exactly what people want and need.

Without a doubt, these women are an integral part of our community, offering expertise, employment opportunities, and generating tax revenue. If you’d like to honor women, support them! Shop in their stores, dine in their eateries, follow them on social media, and share their talents with your family and friends!
