Summer Shop Tours: Part 2
Our two‑part video series, Shop Tours, is your backstage pass to the eclectic shops and boutiques where timeless craftsmanship meets modern sensibility. If you missed Part 1, you can see that here. Otherwise, read on for Part 2, which introduces you to the rest of our Water Street retailers, plus a few nearby, just outside of our immediate footprint.
Pop into Cove Ledge, a boutique wine and spirits store that regularly hosts events. Right down the street, you’ll find Repertoire Stonington, a certified design studio and gift shop, and Stonington Consign to Design — a treasure trove if you need to feather your nest. The Velvet Mill, at 22 Bayview Avenue, is home to shops, eateries, and a host of small businesses, including Mountain Hollow and the Velvet Mill Gallery, a sprawling space dedicated to the artists at the Mill, which you’ll find on the second floor. The Stonington Frame Shoppe is located just across Route 1, and if you’re heading toward Westerly, RI, don’t miss Wm. Cole on the right side — an elegant shop where you’ll find the perfect hostess gift (and more)! And although Yali Stonington no longer has a brick and mortar presence on Water Street, its online business is still based in Stonington Borough.
